Roxilea Callahan, 62 year old Grove resident, went to join her beloved husband in heaven on Tuesday, October 22, 2019. Roxilea was born in Miami on December 10, 1956 to John and Josephine (McCleary) Palmer. On January 20, 1978 she was united in marriage to the love of her life Rodney Dean Callahan. Roxilea was employed with NEO college as a maintenance administer. She enjoyed arts and crafts and sewing. Her main passion was attending and being involved with Grand Lake Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children: Angie Burgess and husband David Burgess, Sr. of Miami, Jodi Morgan and husband Allen, Ryan Callahan and wife Jennifer, and Tyson Callahan and wife Rebecca, all of Grove, 8 grandchildren: David Burgess, Jr., Danny Burgess, Hillary Barnard, Jonathan Morgan, Mika Callahan, Dakota Callahan, Kytilin Callahan, and Kennessin Callahan, 2 great grandchildren: Kinzley Barnard and Emberlyn Barrett, and three siblings: Tony Palmer of Miami, Sherri Frock of Shawnee, KS, and Julidea Taylor of Miami. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Rodney Callahan.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-7 PM, Friday, October 25, 2019 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma. A celebration of her life will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the Grand Lake Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Potts officiating.
