Ruby Dennis

Ruby Katherine Dennis, 85year old resident of Grove died Friday July 16, 2010 in Topeka, Kansas. She was born February 20, 1925 in Baxter springs Kansas the daughter of Fred B. and Mabel Allen. She was raised and educated in Liberal Kansas where she graduated high school. Ruby worked as an assistant County Treasure in Pawnee and Seward Counties then retired from Larned State Hospital and moved to Grove, Oklahoma in 1989. Ruby and Basil Dennis were united in marriage in Liberal Kansas in 1950 and together they raised four children. She was a member of Newsong Church. She enjoyed beadwork, latch hook. Ruby loved God and her family,nature, wildlife and gathering and collecting she shells. Ruby leaves behind her husband Basil of he home, four children, Cheryl Mulford of Topeka, Kansas, Rhonda Bettes of Grove, Oklahoma, Karen McCrary of great Bend Kansas, and David Dennis of Tyler, Texas, one brother Bill Allen of Denver, Colorado, seven grand children five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday July 24, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Luginbuel Funeral Home with Pastor Marty Dyer officiating with interment to follow in Big Cabin, Cemetery.
