Russell Shadwick

Russell Allen Shadwick, 41-year-old Bartlesville resident, passed away after a lingering illness on Monday, November 6, 2006. Mr. Shadwick was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Jerrey and Patsy Davis-Shadwick on April 21, 1965. He was a proud member of the Cherokee Indian Tribe. Mr. Shadwick attended schools at Osage Hills and later at Caney Valley. He was a truck driver for the biggest part of his life. Mr. Shadwick married Tammy Edens on February 14, 1983 and fathered two sons, Joshua Shadwick and Jasen Shadwick. He later married Michelle Plett on February 14, 2002. From this union came one daughter, Shelly Shadwick. Mr. Shadwick was an outdoorsman and loved fishing. He was also a huge NASCAR Racing fan. Mr. Shadwick loved collecting race cars and Indian artifacts. Mr. Shadwick is survived by his children; by three brothers, Robert Shadwick and his wife Dorothy of Bartlesville, Walter Gagan and his wife Sarah of Bartlesville, and Ronnie Shadwick and his wife Betty of Center Ridge, Arkansas; by three sisters, Robin James and her husband Keith of Mansfield, Texas, Rochelle Durkesonand her husband Jeff of Irving, Texas, Rebecca Kidwell and her husband James of Ramona; by his parents, Patsy and John Gagan of Ochelata; by a dear friend and care giver, Bill Fargo; and by numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. Mr. Shadwick was preceded in death by his father; by three brothers; and by his grandparents.
