Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita - 918-256-5555 - Ruth Mae (Rentle) Nidiffer, 83 year old Vinita resident, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was born on March 16, 1931 in Bluejacket, Oklahoma to Herbert Nelson Rentle and Elsie (Stanislaus) Rentle. Ruth graduated from Vinita High School. She married Max Charles Nidiffer on June 12, 1954 at the First Baptist Church in Vinita. They lived in Miami, Vinita, Merriam, Kansas, and Bluejacket, before retiring to Vinita. She retired as the Craig County Election Board Secretary, after 8 years of service. Ruth was a member of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed doing quilting, sewing, ceramics, travelling with their fifth wheel and fishing. The family includes: her husband Max of the home; children, Curtis Nidiffer and wife Gloria of Diamond, Missouri, Larry Nidiffer of Pawhuska, Vicki Highsmith and husband Chris of Vinita; grandchildren, Scot Nidiffer, Justin and Colt Nidiffer, Haley Chenoweth and husband Casey, Hunter Highsmith; and great-granddaughters, Natalie Nidiffer and Valynn Nidiffer; a step-sister, June Walton; step grandchildren, Jenny Brust, Jessica Nugent, and Luke Thomas; and numerous other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 PM on Tuesday evening at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin Baker officiating. Interment will follow at the Bluejacket Cemetery.
