Sammie Dick

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK, 918-253-3222 ~ Sammie Joe Dick passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Integris Grove General Hospital at the age of 83. Sammie was born on January 31, 1932 in Eucha, Oklahoma. He was one of eight children born to Louis Leo and Emma (Smith) Dick. Sammie enjoyed being outdoors, his hobbies included fishing, coon hunting, game chickens and raising and training his coon dogs. Sammie worked as a farmer for Tyson's, and also for many years ran his own concrete finishing business. Sammie married Hattie Dilbeck on March 29, 1970, and spent forty-five years together. Sammie was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, two brothers, four sisters and one great granddaughter. He is survived by his wife Hattie Dick of the home, one sister Gladdean Lardy of Buckston, OR and seven children; Nancy & Harold Swart of Cary, IL, Judy Scobey of Glenpool, OK, Sheryl & Mike Pool of Sand Springs, OK, Shelly & Bobby Chewey Grove, OK, Mike & Susie Dilbeck of Jay, OK, Teresa and Rob Linn of Grove, OK and Cindy Dilbeck of Jay, OK. Sammie was blessed with sixteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews & other loved ones.
