Scott Allen Campbell, 63, of Nowata, Oklahoma passed away on November 20, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the Ascension St. John Medical Center. He was born in Nowata, Oklahoma on July 31, 1958, to Leonard “Bruce” Campbell and Connie Guinn (Nelson) Campbell.
Scott was a 1976 graduate of Nowata High School and went on to join the United States Navy. Scott moved to North Carolina, where he was married and started a family. After attending some college, he began working in the construction industry as a painter. He worked for Abercrombie and Fitch, painting for several years for them. In the 1990s, Scott moved back to Nowata.
Scott was an avid OU athletics fan. In his free time, he enjoyed playing pool, going to his man-cave, and spending time with his family and friends. Scott had a great sense of humor and a positive outlook on life. He strived to see the best in everyone around him. Scott was a member of the First Baptist Church. His family and friends held a very special place in Scott’s heart. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded by his parents, Leonard “Bruce” Campbell Sr. and Connie Guinn Campbell.
Scott is survived by his special friend, Amy Corle of the home, two daughters; Sarah Anne Campbell of North Carolina and Rebekah Guinn Campbell of North Carolina, one granddaughter, Emma, one brother; Roy Bruce “R.B.” Campbell and wife, Jo of Nowata, OK, one nephew, Brett Campbell and wife, Sophia of Edmond, OK, two great-nieces; Valorie and Aubrey, special aunt, Jan Greer, and special uncle, Mike Nelson, and other relatives and many close friends.
Memorial services for Scott Campbell will be held Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel in Nowata, Oklahoma, 114 W. Cherokee, 74048 with Pastor Rusty Rhoades officiating. Services are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Services in Nowata, Oklahoma.
