Stanford Dale Frye, 63-year-old Vinita resident passed away Monday, August 12, 2024, at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. He was born September 7, 1960, in Claremore to Raymond and Rose Mary (Parker) Frye.
Dale hauled hay with his dad during the summers as a kid and in his adult life he worked various jobs, including roofing. Dale enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid member of the NRA and he was proud of his Native heritage.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, son Daniel Frye, brothers Richard Frye, Don Frye and Mark Frye. He is survived by his son Jake Frye, sisters Cathy and husband Todd, and Cindy Frye, nephews Ben Frye, Marshall Workman, and Mason Workman, nieces Sarah Eubanks, Rayna Workman and Rebbeca Morrison, Kelsey Berry and Matti Frye. He also had numerous grandchildren that he “adopted” over the years.
The family will receive family and friends Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Benjamin Funeral Service. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 16, 2024, at People’s Community Center on the Foster’s Home Place in Bowlin Springs with Pastors Eddie Mathews and Virgil Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Relocated Cemetery, Nowata, Oklahoma. Todd Workman, Marshall Workman, Mason Workman, Ben Frye, Wayne Mueller, and Tony Moss will serve as casket bearers.
