Tara Annette Lisko, age 72, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at home in Nowata, Oklahoma. Tara was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on February 22, 1953 to Walter Wesley Hobbs and Eula Marie Spradlin. Tara graduated from Okmulgee High School where she met her husband Joseph P. Lisko. After high school she attended Oklahoma University and Oklahoma State Technical College where she graduated with a degree in Drafting and Graphic Design. She married her high school sweetheart, Joe, on December 21, 1974 and they just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. With her parents and sister, Tara lived abroad for many years both in Ethiopia and Colombia and was able to travel around the world several times. Tara was very committed to animal welfare and worked with various animal rescue groups in Tulsa. In her spare time her she also enjoyed making porcelain dolls, working with her husband restoring vintage cars, riding her Harley with her husband around the Western United States, and helping with family events where her husband worked at the Ford’s Tulsa Glass plant. A devoted mother, Tara volunteered as a teacher's aide at her son's elementary school, and made the Lisko home a warm and welcoming place for all of his friends and neighbors.

Tara was preceded in death by her parents: Walter Wesley and Eula Marie Hobbs and her father and mother-in-laws Bob and Joyce Lisko. She is survived by her husband Joe of Nowata, OK, her sister Rhonda Hobbs of Nowata; her son Ian Lisko and his wife Anne and granddaughter Vivian Lisko of Tulsa, her sister-in-law Beth Bowin and husband Donnie of Park Hill, OK and various other relatives in Oklahoma and Texas.
