Thelma Herod

Lifetime resident Thelma M. "Blevins" Herod, age 86, passed away on July 19, 2014 with her family by her side. Thelma was born on August 14, 1927 in Grove, Oklahoma. Thelma was the daughter of Jim and Vessie (Jones) Blevins. Thelma enjoyed fishing, farming, cutting wood, brush hogging and enjoying the scenery. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe Herod, and two brothers Virgil Otis Blevins and Ralph J.R. Blevins. She is survived by her three children Jimmie Bauer and his wife Imogene, Jerry Lee Bauer and his wife Betty all of Grove, Oklahoma and Peggy Frazier and her husband Orval of Jay, Oklahoma. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Thelma is also survived by her two sisters; Ruth Hamra and Neva Jean Kusch. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 24, 2014 all to be held at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, Oklahoma.
