Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma 918-253-3222. Tiney Beatrice (Downing) Hodges, 81 year old resident of Colcord, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tiney was born on March 30, 1937 in Spavinaw. She was the daughter of Samuel Downing and Annie (Grass) Downing. Tiney enjoyed quilting and sewing for her family. She was a great mother and enjoyed spending time with her kids. She was very proud of her Native American Heritage. Tiney was preceded in death by her parents and her husband and a sister Arlie Hoase. She is survived by her four sons; Merlin Downing of Novinger, Missouri, Larry Hodges of Green Castle, Missouri, Michael Hodges of Colcord, Oklahoma, Sidney Hodges of Colcord, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her brother John Downing of Spavinaw, Oklahoma and five sisters; Polly White, Betty Mouse, Jennie Chiesoe, Jessie Paul Chiesoe and Linda Sue. Tiney was blessed with six grandchildren; Jessica Downing, Jesse Hodges, Timmy Downing, Nathan Hodges, Mindy Hodges and Sidney Hodges. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-7 pm, Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Jack Ribbon Cemetery in Spavinaw, Oklahoma.
