Troy John Barnes, 48, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014 at Integris Grove Hospital. He was born September 21, 1966 in Nowata to Bob Barnes and Krisida Dean (Carter) Ewers. He grew up in Nowata and attended Alluwe Schools. He moved to Grove 17 years ago. He loved his life partner, Matt and his family as his own. Troy loved to dance and listen to music. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. He will be missed by all who knew him. Troy is preceded in death by his mom, Krisida Ewers. He is survived by his father, Bob Barnes of rural Nowata; his life partner, Matt Messimore of Jay; three children, Nathaniel John Barnes of Grove, Kelby Eugene Barnes of Florida, Atosha Sue Barnes of Grove; five siblings, Tina Jo Inman and her husband Jerry of Nowata, Toby Gene Barnes and his wife Michelle of Nowata, Bobbette Krisida Riddle and her husband Russell Allen Riddle of Claremore, Curtis Edward Barnes and his wife Tascia Barnes of Nowata, Shonda Yancey and her husband John of Claremore, three grandchildren, Kadence Barnes, Blaize Messimore, Kyleigh Messimore, numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
