Troy Don Liston, 34, Passed away at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri on November 21, 2010. He was born on November 5, 1976 in Lawton, OK the son of Virgil Dean and Beatrice Liston and born to Louise Y. Juarez . He loved learning and was studying at Pitt State, Pittsburg, Ks He enjoyed hunting and being outdoors in nature. His passion was basketball, either playing or coaching the game. Troy was happy when family would get together and share time. Troy was reacquainted with his biological family in August 1993. He was united in marriage to Nancy Gilstrap on May 27, 2000 in Nowata, OK. She survives at their home. Also surviving are a son, Treabein-Moore Liston, Nowata, OK. Father, Virgil Dean and wife Beatrice Liston, Nowata, OK. Mother, Louise Y. Juarez, Hobart, OK, maternal grandmother, Mary Mosse. Brothers; Tony and wife Kelli Liston, Nowata, OK , Jonathan Barela and wife Etta Wayne and Matthew Barela and wife Loree, both of Hobart, OK. Troy is also survived by numerous nieces ,nephews , aunts & uncles whom he loved dearly. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 27, 2010, at New Harmony Baptist Church, rural Bartlesville, OK. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Nowata, OK. Memorial contributions may be given to New Harmony Baptist Church and may be left at the funeral home.
