Virginia Anderson

Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita, 918-256-5555, -- Virginia Caroline Anderson, 98 years old, of Vinita, passed away at her home on December 7, 2015. A retired secretary from First National Bank in Tulsa. She was born to Jesse and Marie K. (Quinlan) Moon, in St. Paul, MN May 14, 1917. She graduated from Clinton Senior High School in 1935, Tulsa Business College in 1936. She was a member of the Boston Avenue Methodist Church having served on the Administrative Board; Home of Hope Parents Organization; Past-President for Insurance Women of Tulsa; Charter member of the Saint Francis Hospital Auxiliary. Predeceased by her parents; husband of 38 years, Robert J. Anderson in 1978; a sister, Martha Jane Miller and a brother, William F. Moon both in July 1991. She is survived by her best friend and precious son, Robert W. "Bobby" Anderson; niece Carol Anne Andrews and husband Darryl of Dallas, Texas; great nephews, Cameron Smoot and wife Janie of Bartlesville; Christopher Smoot and wife Lisa, Kevin Smoot and wife Jody, and Kimberly Wines and husband Brian all of Dallas, Texas. Also several great-great nieces and nephews. Virginia lived in Tulsa for seventy years before moving to Vinita in 1999 to be closer to Bobby. The family will receive friends from 4-5 PM on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. Friends may give to the Home of Hope, P. O. Box 903, Vinita, OK 74301 in Memory of Virginia and in Honor of Bobby. The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bill Tankersley officiating. The committal service will be Friday at 1:00 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com.
