Virginia Lou Meyer, 81, passed away on August 29, 2022, peacefully in Heavener, Oklahoma.

Virginia was born on February 20, 1941, in Craig County to Joseph Clayton and Lenora Elizabeth (Dunn) Haskit. There were 12 siblings in the Haskit family. She attended and graduated from Welch public schools. She married Paul Meyer in 1961. The couple had three children together. After Paul served in the Navy, Paul and Virginia were involved in the church ministry for 17 years. They finally settled in Lenapah, Oklahoma for 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; J.C. and Lenora Haskit, her husband; Paul Meyer, and her great-granddaughter, Daliah Anderson.

Virginia is survived by her children; Denise Johnson and husband, Matt of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Angela Davis of Howe, Oklahoma, and Avery Meyer and wife, Myreen of Fresno, California, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, along with other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Geoffrey Gunter officiating. A come and go visitation will be on Friday, September 2 from 9am-5pm at Benjamin Funeral Service. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
