Wallace Larry Smith, 65 year-old Vinita resident died November 6, 2006 at his home. He was born January 14, 1941 in Tulsa to Wallace and Verna (Patterson) Smith. Mr. Smith had lived in Vinita since 1988. He worked as a tire salesman at Robertson Tire Center in Tulsa. Wallace was a veteran on the United States Navy and a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was a golfer, fisherman, loved to play cards and play the trombone. The family includes: his mother, Verna Blomquist of Sevierville, Tennessee, a sister Phyllis Ann Barbour and husband Allan of Cosby, Tennessee, nieces and nephews include, Shelly McKay, Bryon Nance, Brent Barbour, Cindy Snuffin and Deborah Amitrano, two cousins, Ronnie Smith of Branson, Missouri, Billie Kay Scheckel of Sun City, Arizona. Preceding him in death were his wife Martha, his father and a sister Connie Sue Harrison. The graveside funeral and military rites will be held Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta, with Mr. Ted Robertson officiating.
