Walter Hart

Walter Burton Hart was born in San Antonio, Texas, July 2, 1916, to Walter B. and Mae (Smith) Hart. He passed from this life Saturday, February 10, 2007, in Collinsville, Oklahoma. He was 90 years old. Mr. Hart attended school in Arkansas and on November 30, 1935 he married Alpha Neel. In 1936 they moved to Alluwe, and in 1941 moved to Nowata. He enjoyed exploring caves and at one time bought a cave in Arkansas which he made into a tourist stop. He loved farming and working with his horses, mules, and cattle. He will be missed by all who knew him. Preceding Mr. Hart in death are his parents, Walter and Mae Hart; daughter, Jessie Mae Hart; brothers Olney and Bernard Hart, Tom and Tony Gorham; and sister Betty Neel. Surviving are children Walter Hart, and wife Pamela, of Bartlesville, Mary Beth Presley, and husband Frank, of Nowata, Max Hart, and wife Beverly, of Pryor, John Hart of Duncan, Barbara Ann Rowe, and husband Noah, of Collinsville, nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
