Walter Oliphant

Luginbuel South Grand Lake of Langley - Walter Dale Oliphant, Sr. 54 year old resident of Langley, died Saturday March 29, 2014 at his home. He was born on November 9, 1959 in Tulsa to Dale Ivan Oliphant and Nora Fay (Orton) Oliphant/Bowers. Walter was a self-employed auto mechanic. He had lived in Tulsa and Langley most of his life. Walter enjoyed working on cars and pickups and playing the games at the local casinos. He was preceded in death by his father, a son, Dale Ivan Oliphant; brother, Larry Ivan Oliphant; sisters, Sheila May Hessman and Elaine Ellen Randolph. The family includes: his mother, Nora Bowers of Langley; children, Amy Marie Oliphant, Trisha Dawn Oliphant, Paul Dustin Oliphant all of Paola, Kansas, Walter Dale Oliphant, Jr., Mariah Dawn Peak, Angel Shaniece Bowers all of Langley; siblings, Jackie Chastain of Skiatook, Lantz Lavern Oliphant of Jay and a half brother, John Yanecek of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and nine grandchildren. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. Arrangements are by the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home of Langley.
