Luginbuel Funeral Home - Vinita- 918-256-5555 Our beloved angel on earth has now officially gotten her "heaven" wings. Wanda Claire Nelson went to meet her Lord and Savior on August 13, 2014. Wanda was born on January 19th, 1924 in Loyal, Oklahoma. She retired from Walmart after many years of dedication to her work. She is survived by her son Billy D. Nelson and wife Linda of Sand springs Oklahoma, sister Guida Mitchem of Marshfield Missouri, granddaughters DeAnna Looper and husband Dean of Broken Arrow Oklahoma, Dana Rubink and husband Brent of Vinita Oklahoma , Lisa Nelson of Glenpool, Oklahoma, Grandsons Dennis Remington and wife, Leigh of Collinsville Oklahoma, Wesley and Chris Nelson both of Vinita, Oklahoma, Kyle Collins and wife Julie of Sand springs, Oklahoma, Kevin Nelson and wife Janelle of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Great grandchildren Tobie, Jeff, Amanda, Bayleigh, Blake, Jessica, Madison, Cody, Brendon, Alex, Keegan, Matt, Zach, Kyle, T.J., Ethan and many, many great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of many years, William Dee Nelson. Her mother and father, daughter Juanita Faye Remington, and son David Allen Nelson, brothers Merit and Scott Nivision, sister Lenore Hall, infant granddaughter Nita Louise Remington. Also special thanks to her wonderful caregivers Barbara and Trenda Tune. Wanda was the foundation and rock of our family and blessing to many people. She always found the good in others and was an inspiration to us all. She will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 16th at 10:00 a.m., at the Luginbuel Funeral Home with Pastor Gordon Hatcher officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
