Wanda Pearsall

Benjamin Funeral Service - Nowata, Oklahoma.............................. Wanda Lee (Pruett) Pearsall passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at her home in Nowata. She was born March 27, 1927 in Vinita to Charley and Grace (Smith) Pruett. They lived in the Childers area and they owned the Twin Bridge Store. She graduated from Childers School in 1944 and began her employment at Phillips Petroleum. She was employed with Morelane Company and then Fred Jones Ford in Tulsa until moving back to Nowata in 1973. She was employed with the County Accessor's Office and then Victory National Bank from which she retired in 1991. Wanda married Vernon Brownie Pearsall on September 5, 1947 in Sand Springs, OK. They met at the Nowata Skating Rink. They were married 52 years before Brownie died in December 1999, having a barn dance with a one-man band on their 50th anniversary. She was active with the First Christian Church, Senior Citizens Center, AARP, 10-33 Ambulance Service and American Legion Organizations. Wanda enjoyed dancing (3-4 nights a week), bowling in tournaments all over the United States, and baking special birthday cakes for family and friends. Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Brownie Pearsall; grandson, Todd Pearsall; her parents, Charley and Grace Pruett; a brother, Egee Pruett. She is survived by two children, Jerry Pearsall and his wife Connie of Nowata, Donnie Pearsall and his wife Pam of Pryor; grandchildren, Eddie (Kendell) Pearsall, Zac (Brandi) Pearsall, Brittany Pearsall, Josh Pearsall, Caleb Pearsall; great-grandchildren, Kourtney Pearsall, Jarret Pearsall, Kallee Pearsall, Abigail Pearsall, Zayden Pearsall; great-great-grandchildren, Kendra Sellers, Matthew Sellers; a sister, Arlene (Jerry) Branen of Collinsville, OK., nieces and nephews, Vicki West, Mike Branen, Steve Branen, Stan Branen, Linda Lord, Nancy Seals, Margie McClellan, Eliza Collier, and a sister-in-law, Louise Pruett. The family wants to thank her caregivers, the best angels one could have, Dedria Mayhew, Tori Lynch, Brittney Peace, Hollie Corle, Caitlin Mayhew, Kourtney Pearsall. Funeral services are 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the First Christian Church with Rev. Rob Crawford officiating. Interment will follow at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery.
