Weaver

(E.H) "Dick" Weaver, 84 year old Afton, Oklahoma resident passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011 following an extended illness. Dick was born on March 21, 1927 in Baxter Springs, Kansas to Zachery Weaver and Anna Verda (Harper). He married Joan Weaver on February 19, 1971 in Pryor, Oklahoma. Dick was a foreman at the BF Goodrich Plant in Miami, OK for over 35 years until it closed down. Dick was a member of the Afton First Baptist Church, and spoke at youth rallies as a young man. He played AAA baseball in his youth and loved training dogs, especially German Shephards. Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Joan. A memorial service for Dick will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday July 14, 2011, at the 1st Baptist Church in Afton, Oklahoma.
