Wesley Cleward Allison, seventy-nine-year-old Vinita resident passed away September 30, 2019 in Tulsa OK. He was born August 06, 1940 in Nowata, OK, the son of Claude Thomas “CT” and Thelma (Falling) Allison. Wesley was a proud member of the Cherokee nation; graduating from White Oak high school in 1958 furthering his education at Okmulgee Technical Institute. He joined the US Marines Corp serving his country from 1962 to 1964. In 1965 Wesley married the mother of his children Mary Ann Gruden. He worked for PSO, and later for Eastern State Hospital where he retired in 1996. Earlier in his life he enjoyed working with his dad and sons on the family farm. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and hunting for arrow heads and mushrooms. Wesley was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching his children’s games. He served on the White Oak school board for many years and the Community Action Board. Wesley in his later years enjoyed time with his family and especially his grandchildren and going to their sporting events.
Wesley was preceded in death by his mother & father, two sons Claudie and Shawn Allison and one sister Kay Elaine Allison.
Survivors include son, Steve Allison of Vinita, OK; daughter, Tina White and husband John of Vinita, OK; granddaughters, Amber Allison of Glenpool, OK Jennifer Rhichards of Green Cove Springs, Florida, Allison White of Vinita, OK; grandsons, Chuck White and wife Cassandra of Miami, OK, Dylan Allison of Vinita, and Cody Allison of Broken Arrow, OK, Ian Allison, John White, Michael White all of Vinita, OK; great-grandchildren, Dominick and Luke Rhichards of Green Cove Springs, Florida and William and Diana White of Miami, Ok. One sister Carol Brisco and numerous nieces and nephews.
