Wickie Jo Wickliffe, 70, passed from this life into eternal rest on May 16, 2023, at his residence in Nowata, Oklahoma. He was born in Nowata, Oklahoma, on November 19, 1952, to Claude Wickliffe and Betty (Inman) Wickliffe.
Wickie has been a lifelong resident of Nowata, growing up and remaining in the area. He attended and graduated from Nowata High School in 1972. He enjoyed driving, so Wickie’s career in transportation, driving a truck was the perfect profession for him. In his free time, he enjoyed drawing and doing art, traveling, “BS-ing,” and watching history documentaries. He will be missed by all who loved and cared for him.
Wickie is preceded in death by his parents: Claude and Betty Wickliffe and his sister: Sherry Parris.
He is survived by his children: Tasha Toler and husband, Leon of Locust Grove, OK, Waylon Wickliffe and his wife, Amber of Coffeyville, KS, and Abby Wickliffe of Locust Grove, OK; his 11 grandchildren: Jayden Greene, Macayla Green, Sidney Greene, Jamie Greene, Payton Bell, Paxton Malone, Kaileigh Wickliffe, Bella Allen, Wyatt Wickliffe, Brynlee Allen, and Walker Wickliffe; 2 great-grandchildren: Irie Anders and Colin French; his siblings: Gaynell Barnes of Vinita, OK, Ann Morrison and husband, Mike of Chelsea, OK, and Monty Wickliffe and wife, Debbie of Nowata, OK; along with other family members and many friends.
A memorial service for Wickie will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel with Colin Kirk officiating.
