Luginbuel Funeral Home - 918-256-5555...... William Raymond Bowers, 77 year old Vinita resident, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015. William was born in Vinita on December 3, 1937 to William Luzon Bowers and Myrtle (Hamm) Bowers. On October 6, 1961 he was united in marriage to Edna Jones. He worked as a mechanic for the United States Army for 22 years, retiring in 1977. William enjoyed fishing, hunting, and horseback riding. Survivors include his wife Edna Bowers of the home, children: William Bowers and wife Doris of Tulsa, Sherry Coyne and husband Michael of Broken Arrow, and Margaret Ganster and husband Tim Shannon of Ellsinore, MO, grandchildren: Daniel Bowers, Audrey Coyne, Nicole Giles, Gabriel Ganster, Kinsley Crane, and Sarah Shannon. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Margaret Hicks and Richard Bowers. Memorial services will be from 1-4 p.m., Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the family home: 471 N 2nd Street, Vinita, OK 74301. Arrangements are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
