Funeral services for William "Bill" Louis Stiger are 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 22, 2017 at Oologah Assembly of God Church with Pastor Kent Jensen officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Talala. Family will be receiving friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Benjamin Funeral Service. William Louis Stiger, 68, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. He was born January 5, 1949 in Claremore to John Franklin and Lora Etta (Chambers) Stiger. Bill was a 1967 graduate of Claremore High School. On June 25, 1968 he joined the United States Navy serving his country during the Vietnam war. On June 15, 1972 he was discharged from the Navy. On September 23, 1976 he married the love of his life Brenda Parker in Talala, Oklahoma. He owned and operated the Mustang Tire Company in Oologah, Oklahoma and was a member of the Life Church in Owasso, Oklahoma. As a young man he enjoyed hunting. Bill also was an avid OU football and softball fan. He enjoyed coaching competitive softball and watching his granddaughter play. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Bill will be missed by all who knew him. William is survived by his wife Brenda of the home; two children Lavonne Stiger of Talala, Heather Faulkner and her husband Marlin of Claremore, Oklahoma; two brothers, Richard Stiger and his wife Eunice of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bryan Stiger of Claremore, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Blake Mayfield, Abigail Mayfield, Jaiden Faulkner, Jordan Faulkner, Jada Faulkner, Josiah Faulkner; and a sister-in-law Elsie Stiger. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Lora Etta Stiger; a brother, John Stiger Jr., and a sister, Janie Duncan. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
