Wilma Bailey

Wilma Irene Bailey, 65 year old resident of Woodward, died early Saturday September 18, 2010 at the Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, after an extended illness. She was born on June 10, 1945 in Woodward to Floyd G. "Bud" and Lucille B. (McHaney) VonSchriltz. Wilma was a graduate of Big Cabin High School, attended NEO A& M College in Miami, and graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, with a teaching and accounting degrees. She had taught business, business law and typing in Oklahoma and Kansas, she had also helped her husband Gail in their heavy equipment business and worked as an auditor for Minyard's Grocery for 13 years in the Dallas area. Wilma married Gail P. Bailey on March 2, 1971 in Oklahoma City. Wilma loved family, church members and friends coming to her home and cooking for them. She was a collector of Nativity Sets and loved reading. Wilma was a member of the Elm Street Baptist Church in Woodward. Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, Marvin and Joe VonSchriltz, five nephews and one great-nephew. The family includes; her husband, Gail of the home, a son Jeff of Woodward, sisters, Ruth Ann McGraw and husband Charles of Norman, Gay Seiber and husband Jerry of Lone Oak, Texas, Treva Stogner of Enid; brothers, Charles VonSchriltz and wife Tricia of Pryor, Terry VonSchriltz of Big Cabin, Everett "Buddy" VonSchriltz of Foyil; numerous other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 20, 2010 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Big Cabin Baptist Church, with Rev. Larry Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at the Big Cabin Cemetery.
