Wynena Peak. Montgomery, age 80, a resident of Bartlesville died Monday October 30, 2006 at her home. Mrs. Montgomery was born December 17, 1925 in Delaware County, the daughter of Charles Curtis Peak and Louisa Bushyhead Peak. She was raised and educated in Grove, Oklahoma. Wynena attended Bacone College before attending Business College in Tulsa. After her graduation she went to work for Phillips Petroleum Company where she met her husband to be Orin. Wynena Peak and Orin Carroll Montgomery were united in marriage on October 30, 1948 in Bartlesville, Ok. They made their home and raised their two children in Bartlesville. Orin preceded her in death on May 17, 2003. Mrs. Montgomery was an avid gardener belonging to the Bartlesville Garden Club as well as the Good Earth Club. She was active in community plantings and loved to be outdoors enjoying nature. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Bartlesville where she sang in the choir and was involved in many of the church organizations such as the Christmas decorating committee, Vacation Bible School and outreach programs. She enjoyed china painting and was a member of the Indian Women's Club. Wynena was a loving mother and wife and she will be dearly missed. Mrs. Montgomery is survived by two children Diana Booher and her husband Glen of Oklahoma City, Ok and Janis Walker of Corpus Christi, Tx, one Brother Stan Waite Peak and his wife Mary Sue of Tulsa, Ok, two sisters Bertha Lea Rothhammer of Broken Arrow, Ok and Janet Pasqua and her husband Clarence of Bartlesville, Ok one sister-in-law Alma Bretz and her husband Carl of Bartlesville, five grandchildren, Emily Booher, Erin Walker, Elyse Walker, Whitney Booher and Jeff Booher, four loving and dedicated caregivers Connie Postrac, Annie Parsons, Katrina Baughman and Denise Benton, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Montgomery is preceded in death by her husband, one brother and one sister. Funeral services for Wynena Peak Montgomery will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 2, 2006 at the First Baptist Church of Bartlesville with interment to follow in the White Rose Cemetery. Dr. Joe Dan Fowler of the First Baptist Church will preside over the services. Funeral services are under the direction of the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home.
